In the distant reaches of the Milky Way, on the crimson world of Mars, the Papillians-an extraordinary race of human-butterfly hybrids-are called to fulfill an ancient mission. Once messengers of peace, they are sent to Earth by Zeus to restore harmony to a war-torn world.
Led by their King Zephyr and Queen Aurelia, the Papillians face great peril, including a battle to defeat the monstrous Vortan, which leads to Zephyr's tragic death. Despite her loss, Aurelia gives birth to twins, Tara and Cara, who grew up under the shadow of their father's legacy.
As a reward for their sacrifice, Zeus offers one of the twins the chance to marry his son, Aetherion, the god of celestial light. This marriage symbolizes a deep alliance between the Papillians and the gods, elevating the Papillians' status. The twin who takes up the marriage will ascend from a celestial human-butterfly to a human-butterfly goddess. This union marks a significant and powerful alliance between their two worlds. But which of the twins will seize the opportunity to become a papillian goddess?
