In the quiet mountain village of Northern Italy, Emma, an 18-year-old Afro-Italian painter, works at a small hotel to save up for the Academy of Art in Milan. With her voluminous afro hair and lively spirit, Emma dreams of leaving her little corner of paradise to pursue her passion for painting. During the summer, the hotel hosts a special guest: Alessandro, a 28-year-old Italian-American photographer .Originally from New York, Alessandro lost his creative inspiration five years ago. His mother, an aristocratic woman who appears superficial but is actually very sweet and caring, brought him to the Italian village where his father had lived, hoping to help him rediscover the joy and passion for photography.
