It's 1819. Cristina lives in a small town called Ciocco known for its chocolate. She's 19 and often battles the fact that people find her unattractive. When tragedy strikes with a fatal accident, shortly after, Cristina's abducted by pirates. Cristina must battle for her life on the high seas daily. A silent yet menacing figure of Captain Brand remains in the background. But Cristina has a secret, and it might just be the key to her freedom. Will Cristina survive the high seas and make it back to her family? Or will her suffering cause her heart to become more cold like that of Captain Brand's?
