His quest leads him to the formidable Zeegnera, a fire-breathing dragoness who has lived for centuries but now dwells in self-imposed exile. Their first encounter is anything but peaceful, yet against all odds, Merrin forges a fragile alliance with the ancient beast.

As Merrin delves deeper into Zeegnera's world, his empathic abilities-an unsettling gift from his elven bloodline-begin to unravel the mysteries of her past, exposing dark secrets of the past which have been lost to time. Long before the floating kingdoms were built, the skies belonged to the dragons alone. Humans feared the skies and the creatures that ruled them. But everything changed when dark forces called Velkraths emerged from the earth - twisted echoes of dragons, corrupted by ancient magic and hunger. They began to burn the kingdoms from the skies downward. Desperate to save her people, a girl named Aerin climbed the highest peak to plead with the dragon Esharion. Instead of taking her life, the dragon saw her courage and bound his soul to hers. In that moment, the first dragon-rider bond was forged - a sacred link of minds and hearts. From Aerin and Esharion, the order of dragon riders was born. Dragons bond to their riders from birth, and when the rider comes of age, the dragon seeks them out. Over centuries, the riders defended the floating kingdom of Aerithal, their bond holding back the Velkraith threat. Yet the bond is dangerous-if one dies, the other often cannot survive the loss. Two childhood best friends, Riven, a quiet and loyal dragon rider, and Lyra, a bold and fiercely independent warrior-have trained side-by-side since they were twelve. Bound to their dragons, Virex and Sora, they've fought countless battles and saved each other's lives more times than they can count. But while Lyra sees Riven as her anchor and brother-in-arms, Riven has silently loved her for years. Lyra, however, is infatuated with Xanten, a charming and noble prince from the kingdom to the South called Medana. When an ancient, giant, monstrous dragon awakens, threatening to destroy their kingdom, Riven and Lyra are chosen for a perilous mission. As they venture deeper into enemy lands, Riven struggles with his feelings, caught between wanting Lyra to know the truth and fearing it would ruin everything they've built

Feyra has always known that her magic comes at a cost. Every time she heals, she takes the wound into herself-burning it into her skin, into her bones, into the scar over her heart that never truly fades. But pain is a small price to pay to protect the people she loves. Especially Mila-her best friend, her constant, her heart-sister. At the Academy, students train to bond with wyverns, master ancient magic, and survive the politics of bloodlines and power. But when Mila's shapeshifting demon heritage spirals out of control during a training trial, Feyra is forced to push her power further than she ever has before-nearly losing her life to pull Mila back from the brink. Now recovery is slow, the pain is unrelenting... and everyone has questions. Including Zeraph-the new third-year leader with a reputation sharp enough to cut. Stoic, disciplined, and carved from controlled fire, he believes Feyra's sacrifice was reckless. She believes he doesn't understand what loyalty means. And Zero-her closest friend and constant defender-has no intention of letting Zeraph dictate anything. But Feyra's scars are changing. Mila's demon forms grow harder to control. And deep beneath the school, in the old wyvern tunnels, something ancient has begun to stir-responding to Feyra's mark... and to the bond between them. Some magic binds. Some magic burns. Some magic was never meant to exist. And the price of saving each other may be becoming the very thing everyone fears.

In the world of Fialta, magic is life itself woven into the air, the rivers, even the beating of every heart. It is a land of ancient empires, divine relics, and forbidden power buried beneath centuries of dust. Once hailed as a genius among wizards, Leon Wolfsted defied the boundaries of mortal magic. His hunger for knowledge led him to master the unmasterable and destroy everything he loved. Now cursed with immortality and burdened by a dragon's heart beating in his chest, Leon wanders the world in quiet penance, hiding from gods and men alike. But fate is not so easily escaped. When Leon rescues a silver-haired girl named Liana, a child of chaos with eyes like burning rubies, the gears of destiny begin to turn once more. Liana's rare mana defies the laws of life and death, and her bond with Leon will either redeem him or doom the world anew. Together, they travel across a realm where nations crumble beneath divine storms, and the whispers of sleeping gods echo in forgotten ruins. As old powers awaken, Leon and Liana must confront the sins of immortality, the cost of power, and the fragile thread that binds master and disciple, man and monster, love and loss. Because in Fialta... every miracle bears a curse and every curse remembers its maker.
