On the last day of winter, the birth of two, the death of one, the winter of life, and the snow of death.

Wrapped in layers of cloth, Joseph Desaulnier's lifeless body lay there. The shroud now concealed his once-luminous visage, which radiated light into the other's world. The youngest twin brother of the two, Claude Desaulniers, wept and mourned for him; the words that crushed his spirit lingered in his memory even now. The words he could not forget that rang unto his ears every day...
