Arendella was a kingdom divided by strict hierarchies, where the nobles lived in splendour while the common folk toiled under the weight of their daily struggles. Mei Lin, with her quiet grace and resilient spirit, had long accepted her place in the world, finding solace in the simple pleasures of nature, the beauty of the night sky, and the warmth of her family's love. Yet, her heart harboured dreams that reached far beyond the horizon, dreams she dared not speak aloud.

In the farthest reaches of Arendella, where the mountains touched the sky, resided the kingdom's strongest warrior, Kael. Known as the Dragon's Blade, Kael was a figure of legend, his prowess in battle unmatched, his loyalty to the kingdom unwavering. He was the son of King Aldric, the ruler of Arendella, and his life had been one of constant training and preparation, for he was destined to protect the kingdom and its people from any threat that might arise.

It was during the ceremony, as the flames of the dragon's altar cast a warm glow upon the gathering, that Kael's gaze fell upon her. Mei Lin, dressed in the simple garb of a servant, was one of the sacrificials. She was a beauty under the dirt & rag, yet unnoticed by the nobility. To Kael, however, she was like a beacon in the darkness, her quiet beauty and inner strength capturing his attention like no one ever had before.

For the first time in his life, Kael felt something stir within him that had nothing to do with duty or honour. There was a connection, a spark that drew him to Mei Lin. Read on to find out how the story unfolds.

Broken Oaths Book One by SyrusWS
13 parts Complete
There was a war between two factions, a war that lasted for centuries. One seeks peace for the world while the other seeks dominance. The stalemate that lasted for years will be shattered when something unexpected happened. Without the balance, chaos will descend on the world, no one will be able to avoid it. Warriors speak of honor and oaths, but when honor is tarnished, and oaths are broken, the balance that was hanging by a thread was destroyed along. With a broken body, Mei already has a low chance of surviving, but she has a keen determination and a deep yearning. With raging anger, like a flame spreading over her body, she yearns for power to exact revenge, regardless of the cost. By a chance encounter, she might have found a way to obtain the power that she so desperately craves, though everything has a price. Without thinking twice, she agrees to a deal that will grant her the power that she seeks, for all she cares about is revenge. All she has to do is master her new power and track down the whereabouts of her sworn enemies. One by one, she would cut them down, she would not stop the hunt until all her enemies lie dead or her life extinguishes. * * * I am not use to the alignment and format of Wattpad so it is different from my original piece.
