After watching everyone fall, Lucy is no longer the girl she once was. The world has shattered, and so has her mind. The darkness inside her grows as she and the few survivors-Maisie, Kassian, Mel, Jace, and Kasper-traverse a landscape drowned in blood and death.

Maisie, with her sadistic love for fire, burns everything in her path, her laughter echoing through the charred ruins. Kassian, ever-loyal, stays close to her side, though his eyes betray a growing fear. Jace, Lucy's once steadfast best friend, now fights not only to protect her but to keep her from slipping further into madness. Mel, the last remnant of Lucy's past, begins to see the cracks in Lucy's sanity.

Lucy's grip on reality starts to unravel. Whispers in the dark taunt her, pulling her deeper into a pit of insanity. The faces of the dead mock her in twisted visions. She can feel the madness clawing at her mind, but there's no escape. Not anymore.

In the midst of this horror, new figures emerge from the shadows: Max, a little girl with a hidden talent, and Cupid, whose name is a cruel joke, for nothing she's seen speaks of love or mercy. Lucy must decide if they are allies or enemies in a world where trust is a death sentence.

Blood is the currency of survival, and Lucy is paying in gallons. As the bodies pile up and the darkness consumes her, the line between hunter and hunted blurs. In the end, there may be nothing left of Lucy but a hollow shell-a vessel for the madness that now controls her.
