Evangeline Hargreeves, or Number Eight, had regenerative abilities. Not only could she heal herself, but she could heal other people as well. Because of this, she spent most of her life being manipulated by people seeking her abilities. She grew to live in fear of people (except the academy), seeking comfort in one particular person.
