Miko Kubota and Hector Nieves, also known as Five, had enjoyed a consistent and fulfilling life. As Glitch Techs, they lived the dream of being part-time heroes, tackling the dangers of glitched games. Miko, the fast-paced girl, and Five, the meticulous planner, were an unstoppable team.

But now, new and returning foes threaten their city-and the world at large.

Fortunately, new heroic factions have emerged to aid Hinobi. One group, known as the Hunters, helps them combat "creatures of destruction" that lack a soul. The other faction, the mysterious Guardians, assists in fighting alien threats from beyond their world.

With these new allies and friends, Miko and Five face glitches, villains, and other extraterrestrial dangers threatening their home. Together, they embark on a journey to become the heroes their city-and the world-needs.
