Miko Kubota and Hector Nieves, also known as Five, had enjoyed a consistent and fulfilling life. As Glitch Techs, they lived the dream of being part-time heroes, tackling the dangers of glitched games. Miko, the fast-paced girl, and Five, the meticulous planner, were an unstoppable team.

But now, new and returning foes threaten their city-and the world at large.

Fortunately, new heroic factions have emerged to aid Hinobi. One group, known as the Hunters, helps them combat "creatures of destruction" that lack a soul. The other faction, the mysterious Guardians, assists in fighting alien threats from beyond their world.
