It has been more than a week since Dana Knox-Sterling had disappeared. The small town of Quinnwood had been up and awake in less than 24 hours of her been missing, but the fire had soon died down. Some speculate the possibility of Dana simply running away, but her friends are thinking of a much darker truth. With the possibility of a killer lurking in the shadows being a normal occurrence for the townspeople, Quinnwood heads back to her usual sleep.

It all changes when Dana's phone sends a text to one of her friends which contains a number. The number leads them to a journalist who happens to be investigating on her case at the time, and even more so interestingly in the same café as them at the time of the text being sent. They soon realize that Dana's fate is entirely decided by whether they will trust the journalist...or not.

Will Dana be found...dead or alive?
