Elie, you promised". I place my hand over my mouth and sob. Hot fresh tears flow down my face and my lungs don't seem to work.
"Blake, it's for the best? Don't you see". He has tears in his eyes.
"No, no. NO! You don't understand" I glance at my father and tremble at my knees. "Don't do this".
