A fundraising bake sale is announced at school and lonely, recluse Mina takes on the role as team leader. She honours her late mothers passion for baking, and slowly makes friends, finds love, and breaks out of the shell that has encompassed her since her mothers passing. What starts as bonding with others through their stomachs, soon leads her to reach their hearts, and gain a new outlook on life. She realizes she's not the only one that shares her dream, or that's lost a mother too soon.

After a car accident took away Yuka's father and younger sister she loses all her sparkle. Her writing doesn't come to her as it used to and she hasn't got any focus when performing her tasks as a manager of the Karasuno boys volleyball team. More and more irritations arise and Yuka ends up being forced to leave. She has had enough of it all and moves to Tokyo. She enrolls at fukurodani and finds her spot with ease since she laready met the volleyball team at the training weekend. Slowly Yuka opens up and with some help she regains her passion for writing. But when she has to choose between the team and writing she is standing at the crossroad she never wanted to reach.
