Captain Maya Bishop runs into a blonde and brunette couple while delivering an important item to the hospital in order to save a life. Her eyes caught by the brunette holding hands with a woman that isn't her. But that she feels should be her. After their first encounter at the hospital the pair seem to keep running into each other. Enjoy the trails and tribulations of Maya and Carina as they find their feelings for one another.

This story takes place immediately after the Season 3 finale. I'm a Surrera fan, so they'll be finding their way back to each other with a little help from the Station 19 crew and a few Grey's favorites. However, during a call with her long-term girlfriend Dr Carina Deluca she heard what sounded like crying coming from outside the station. Upon further investigation, she discovered the noise was coming from a child. She took the child into her office and quickly formed a bond with them That's when Maya realised, this child was to be the next adventure in her life... Inspired by lovatic_f story "Maya's Next Step" (when coming up with the name for my story I didn't realise how similar they were until after I posted it) With that, I am in no way going to copy or steal their ideas. I was just very inspired by what they wrote.
