Not everything is as it seems in the mystical sleepy town of StoryBrooke, Maine. What once was ordinary and routine suddenly becomes interrupted when Juliet's Little brother, Henry, begins reading a book about fairytales. Suddenly, in his eyes, everyone in town is a character from his book and they were all placed under a curse due to the Mayor, their mother.

Juliet didn't believe anything that he had said at first, believing it to be nothing but an overactive imagination. Besides she had more important things to worry about, like getting Theo Avery to leave her alone, or getting her mother to allow her and her friend Morgan to start up a restaurant, or even those haunting dreams that she keeps getting.

Those crimson eyes that flashed in the mirror every time she caught a glimpse at her reflection.

A glint of a silver hook with eyes that matched mine.

And a boy, one who dressed in mismatched green and eyes that couldn't decide if they wanted to be green or blue.
