Sprout has wished for his best friend Cosmo to be his forever one and true lasting love, that wish is granted. Happily living and loving each other, not knowing what is coming in the deep dark future the world holds for them. 
An infection breaks out and toons start acting and looking different - Toons? No, they are twisted's. 
Sprout and Cosmo stay together in the house of Sprout's safe and sound until later on one of the twisted breaks in, Sprout gets bitten trying to protect Cosmo. And Cosmo is in agony full of regret and guilt for Sprout before and after running away back to his own house, wishing there was a better way to get out of that situation without any sacrifices, that wish never came true. It's too late.
'Sprout' and Cosmo meet again one day, a few months after Sprout's infection, Cosmo fears Sprout would attack him..but Sprout remembers something he had said to Cosmo when the infection was spreading around the world..saying it to Cosmo. Which has him full of thoughts and thinking running through his head as he is in full of fear but has lots and lots of love for his dear 'Sprout'.
