I slowly come to, quickly becoming aware of the darkness surrounding me, it made me think for a moment if I even opened my eyes at all but hearing trees sway around me made me realize I was indeed awake. I quietly wince feeling sharp jagged rocks digging into my back and grass poking through my shirt, irritating my skin. I slowly blink, trying to grasp the situation at hand, but I just couldn't. One moment, I was in pain, passed out, and now i'm apparently in the forest. Which mind you, I do not live near trees at all, simple grass fields surround my town.
Not only that, my arms and legs felt like they were buzzing with energy, like the feeling you'd get after accidentally shocking yourself, but this feeling felt a little different from that, this energy felt alive, like I could control it if I wanted to. I could feel the chilling breeze brush across my cheeks and move my hair out of my eyes. I slowly look around, debating on sitting up and trying to figure out where I could be or lay down a little longer and overthink. I flinch seeing white candles I didn't notice before, suddenly light in a line, one by one all around me, giving me more light. The flames weren't orange as they usually were. They were a bright blue, I frowned in confusion as I watched them flicker as the wind gently blew the dead leaves around them. Then, spotting black clothing, I knew I wasn't alone.
