[COMPLETED] In the year 1921, a family was brutally murdered in a small cottage. The place could fit a small family and had a large garden, it was isolated and quiet, a perfect place to get away with murder and that's exactly what happened. The Avery family was killed. A mother and her son. They were both too young to die, the mother only being 34 and the son only being 16. No one understood why anyone would want to kill the little family, who's been through hell and back after the father walked out on them. He took all the money forcing them to move into the tiny home. Even then, they were still positive about things until... The terrifying day took place. No one has ever moved into the house since then, considering all the rumors going around about the son haunting the cottage. His first sighting being a few months after the murder and since then there's been many reports of his shadowy figure in the windows. Teenagers often explored the place but as soon as they were out of the house, they never went back inside. - Zach Herron, aged 17, now ready to move into a house of his own. After being under his parents watchful eye for years, he's ready to finally walk on his own two feet. He could've moved out at 16, legal age in England, but decided against it but now he was prepared. The cottage seemed like a fitting place for him to stay, he's seen the reviews about it being 'haunted' but paid no mind to it. [This story was written and finished a long time ago, meaning it's completely awful and I highly regret writing it now. I won't stop you from reading if you so desperately want to for whatever reason but please be mentally prepared to cringe multiple times.]

This story is not getting the attention it deserves, so I am attempting to "re-brand" it. Maybe no one "gets" it. If you want to read about "Normal" teenagers, maybe this isn't for you, it's more complicated than that. It's about a teenager who doesn't fit it, but doesn't want to, who has the best two friends that anyone could have. Who watched his father lose his job in the Recession and then loses his home, and how he copes, especially when he learns that their new house is haunted and the ghost is in his room. Michael was an average kid, although he's always stood out. He was a school jock but also a skater whose long blond hair almost reaches his waist. When his parents lived in a house in a home owners association like all his other friends, life seemed normal. Then his father lost his job and suddenly those "friends" weren't there anymore--except for his two best friends, Short Round and Dewey. The three are skaters, good ones, who live for girls and their skateboards. They're also basically good kids who take pride in being different without paying attention to it. When Michael loses his home and his family has to move they have his back. And they are there for him when the ghost girl starts following him around. Mariah was murdered when she was just 15, her remains were never found, although no one but her and her ghost friend, Crazy Girl, know where their bodies are buried. The house Michael now lives in is the one where she lived with her family, and her old room is now his. She appears to him one night, trying to taunt him, but against her will she is falling in love with the boy who lives in her old room. Slowly the two begin to fall in love and Mariah tells him her story, and of the hidden danger that lies up the street from him. A dangerous strangers loves to kill little girls, and his sister Kit

In a world where the dead linger, one girl holds the key to helping them cross over. But Rose's quiet life is shattered when four mysterious brothers arrive with a dark secret. As tensions rise and some ghosts prove more dangerous than others, the brothers only want to keep her safe. Can she trust them, or will the secrets between them be her undoing? And will she ever be able to break through their masks? **COMPLETE** **SEQUEL IS ALSO COMPLETE** My death notebook was out. I surreptitiously slid it into my backpack. He offered me the cards. "Pick a game, Rose?" "Um." They looked at me. "How about cheat?" "Never heard of it," Alexander said, collapsing to sit on the floor with his back to my bed. Gabriel sat cross-legged. "Show us," he said. I knelt to complete the circle, taking out the cards and shuffling them. Alexander snorted and snatched the cards out of my hands to shuffle them himself. "I got it, drunk girl." "I am not," I said, tugging on the cards. My fingers tangled with his. He let them go. I distributed the cards among us, my hair swinging as I leaned forward to give them their share. I tucked it behind my ears. They watched me quietly. I could hear the party outside my room, a muffled shouting beat, but we were safe in my room.
