I wanted to give a thank you for SS properly. I knew what I was going to do in Chormatober before it started and decided afterward I wanted to give it a proper book. This is an ending I hope the world of Steve Saga got despite what happened. (I consider The End Crystal the true ending.)
After the explosion, Alex and Guardian are the only ones left alive. They must choose to live in this Illusion forever, or take a chance and return to the world like Sabre always wanted.
Sabre now passed, will no longer return. Their choices will decide if his sacrifice is truly worth it. Or would it have been better if he never appeared at all?

Sabre glanced at an erstwhile Steve floating in the midair, with Rainbow Steve right beside him. 'I've never thought we could see each other again, Time Steve,' with a second glance at another see-through figure next to the glowing pelt of Time energy, he added, 'Elemental Steve.' 'Only fate will tell,' Elemental Steve replied, smiling. Time Steve floated forward, his silver eyes sparkled with pride. 'The Steve Realm owes you a thanks for your aid.' He paused as Elemental Steve held out his right hand out, a swirl of Elemental energy emitted from his palm. Time Steve looked at his brother and smiled, as well as holding out his hand. Their energy merged together as a portal formed. 'We conducted a merge of Time and Space to bring you back home, to the overworld, and we brought back something you ought to have. May our paths cross sometime.' 'Be nice and jubilant. I would like to see you in yourself again.' Elemental Steve chuckled. 'Don't worry, I will.' Came Rainbow Steve's reply. 'Well I guess this is goodbye then...' Sabre walked up to the Steves, 'I wish you the best in guarding the universe, together.' With that being said, Sabre and Rainbow Steve pelted into the portal.
