We arent right for each other.

I pretend to not know, and you pretend you don't love me, but I know, and you do, and we sit with the elephant in the room under a candle-lit dinner, and we wanted someone to fight for, but we weren't right for each other, so I fought the elephant instead of fighting for you, and we grabbed our knives and we spilled his blood, and he told me I looked beautiful covered in red. And we used his skin to make a blanket, as we snuggled up under the unacknowledged reality, that we were both better at wanting each other than we were at having each other, but we wanted to feel wanted so bad we ignored that it wasn't right, and we were better at being friends than being in love, and without the elephant in the room, there was nothing left for us to solve, so Yi pretended to not know, and you pretended you didn't want me like that, but I knew and you did, and we sat under a candle lit dinner, we had a spark, so we made a fire and ignored the passion, and I wept on the wood and I fell asleep in the arms of a friend, who wiped the blood from the murderer's hands.
