In the summer of 1995, three Pennsylvanian college students - Esme Sullivan, a sarcastic witch; Roman Darkhölme, a reanimated corpse; and Leah Sarugaki, an energetic medium - resort to pay off their bills by running an occult detective agency known as The Red October Society outside their campus. However, after one of their cases draws unwanted attention from Hayworth Institute, their college, the dean sends them to work at Camp Harrow deep in the forest of Louisiana.

What the trio expects to be a dull, uneventful experience quickly becomes a nightmare. The camp manager is a monster, the cabins are disgusting, and the campers are out of control. But everything changes when the trio stumbles upon the horrifying discovery of decaying corpses buried in the woods, revealing that something far darker is happening behind the camp's sinister walls.

With the camp teetering on the brink of closure, the weight of catching the perpetrator falls squarely on their shoulders. Make no mistake: Leah, Esme, and Roman have no intentions of saving rotten campers or protecting Camp Harrow from lawsuits.
