A SHINING STAR

Eika is a little girl who one day encounters a woman being attacked my a demon. This new reality of life led her to become a demon slayer, and perhaps even develop feelings for a certain Rengoku in the process. She's discovering who she is, why she's here and where she'll go next.

"You sure have a lot of favourite things, Kyo." He smiled up at me from where he was crouched over, admiring his favourite flowers.
"Well, it's like father said. We never know when our last day will be. We need to appreciate everything around us, and I love to admire and discover these things. Do you have a favourite thing, E?"
"I like the stars. Especially during spring. They are the most clear then. I used to gaze at them at night through a hole in the roof of the shed I used to live in. They were the one thing that stayed. So, I guess the stars are my favourite."
"Wow! I like the stars too, but the Sun would be my favourite. It protects us from demons, and gives us light."

THIS STORY WILL BE SLIGHTLY OFF CANON. ILL LET YOU KNOW THE CHANGES IN THE CHAPTERS. I feel like I've skipped over some spots really quickly, so if you want me to extend them let me know. Also I'm writing this to practice English because it's not my first language.
