For years I forced myself to believe I was normal, that I was nothing special. I'm eighteen years old and attend a preppy high school, my name? Anastasia Gorgon. I found a way to hide in the middle of the crowd, liked by most but not idolized, which allowed me to slip by, counting down the time to graduation.
A few years back my parents - guardians - passed away, or, rather, they were murdered. Though I didn't find that out until the Gates brothers, a couple of Hunters, showed up at my school. Now, not only am I a living target attempting to survive every harsh minute of my life, I have the pressure of knowing I'm also the last of my name, and one of the few left of my kind.
My life is on the line and my future is at stake due to a wicked Vampire Elder -- and her goons -- who have decided that my blood is the cure to their mortality, and whether she gets the power of my blood or not, she has decided she wants me dead.
Now I am battling for my life with no where left to run and so much left to live for, but the question that I keep repeating to myself is: can I make it out in one piece or will the Gorgon name be destroyed for good?
