After extensive thought, his parents finally cut him off from their trust fund, figuring they were doing nothing good for him and making his depression worse. With no spare funds, no more cash, Casey is forced to contact his grandparents in Monroe County, Georgia for a place to stay.

Jameson Steel is the head ranch-hand on the Hason Ranch. He takes care of all the hard work and makes sure everyone is in line to ensure less stress for Casey's grandfather. He's been there the longest amount of time out of the other hands and even had a daughter on the property before his marriage fell apart.
