Caroline Forbes is a regular college girl, well, if that included partying and waking up in stranger's bed almost every night. So she wasn't the most... school focused girl, and, well yes her grades were horrible but she couldn't care less. She originally didn't even plan to go to college but her parents forced her to, but they never said she had to actually do good in college, though things go downhill for Caroline when she gets the upsetting news that she is getting forced into an arranged marriage with some guy she didn't even know. Saying she was mad is an understatement, she was ready to kill her parents.

Niklaus Mikaelson had a pretty generic personality, he was a decent guy, a tad bit of a player at times but other than that a decent guy. Though his entire family was loaded, like big time. His father owed many successful businesses, but Klaus never really thought much of them until he got out of college and was put head of the Mikaelson Corporation, not really a big deal still though, he knew what he was doing and was honored for the position. Everything in his life was perfect until his girlfriend of 5 years got caught cheating on him, that was all over the news for weeks, months even. His father, desperate to make sure they're reputation wasn't tarnished, decided to arrange a marriage for his son, with the daughter of another multi millionaire who also owned many businesses. Klaus was fine with it, but that might change...
