In the prosperous kingdom of Brimhaven, Princess Nirvana is renowned for her grace and kindness. Her life seems perfect until she encounters Hel, the enigmatic God of Demimonde, during a rare celestial alignment. Drawn to his mysterious allure and the realm he inhabits, Nirvana finds herself irresistibly captivated by him. Despite the chasm between their worlds, their love blossoms in secret.
Hel, though divine, is bound by his own limitations, and their love faces immense challenges from both mortal and divine realms. When King Parades, Nirvana's father, discovers the affair, his rage is immense. The ancient laws of Brimhaven dictate that such a union is an affront to both the kingdom and the gods. Parades, already burdened by his own fears of losing control, sees Nirvana's love for Hel as a betrayal of his rule and her duty.
In a furious and desperate act to reclaim his authority and restore order, King Parades enacts severe punishment upon Nirvana. She is stripped of her title, cast out from the palace, and declared a pariah. Disowned and exiled, Nirvana is forced to live among the common folk, far from the opulence and protection of her former life. Her only solace is the secret meetings with Hel, though even these are fraught with peril.
As Nirvana navigates her new, harsh reality, she learns of a prophecy suggesting that her union with Hel could lead to a transformative change for both realms. With her spirit unbroken and her love for Hel undiminished, Nirvana must confront the wrath of her father, the disapproval of her people, and the ever-present threats from those who wish to exploit her misfortune.
In a daring quest to restore her honor and seek redemption for both herself and Hel, Nirvana challenges the boundaries between mortal and divine, risking everything for a love that defies the very fabric of her world. Her journey is one of resilience, courage, and the enduring power of a love that bridges realms.
A retelling of the Hades and Persephone myth, a story of fate, the struggle for power, and love found in the most unexpected places.
