Erwin Smith x Suicidal reader You are Y/n Y/l/n. You've lived in the underground since you were 4 years old. When your father died, you ran to the underground and met Levi. You became best friends and eventually you met Cassie, Evian and Alex. A few kids that were seeking shelter in the underground. Cassie wasn't much younger than you, neither was Alex. Evian was the youngest. You burn down your house and stay with Levi for a while. Then the Scouting Regiment comes and takes you away. For you it was love at first sight. But you never knew if he would like you back. Once you start dating the commander, you keep having nightmares of your family's death. Your brother's disapperence, anything that caused you emotional pain. After you felt tired of the pain and suffering, you try to end it all. After the incident, Erwin stays by your side, no matter what. He makes excuses for your squad to stay by his, and keep you safe. He can't risk losing you again.

Life above ground could not have been a more stark contrast from the life Levi was used to leading. From making deals and dominating a scraggly crowd, to taking orders from the Scouting Regime and slaying giant beasts roaming the land outside the walls enclosing humanity. It was an adjustment he made quick enough for himself, so he thought. Between the expeditions and boring document signing, he climbed the ranks surprisingly quickly and soon found himself accompanying Commander Erwin Smith on his many 'business meetings' outside the district of Trost. At first, it was merely responsibility, albeit a mentally draining one, considering his strong dislike for the other regimes and their Commanders... But after learning Nile Dok had a rather alluring daughter, something about those visits into town became both more bearable and somehow more complicated for Levi. She was a stark reminder of one of the very few things he missed about his life Underground; particularly, the frequency of getting laid.

The best advice you can give a Scout is to take things one day at a time. As a senior member of the special operations squad and Hanji's right hand woman, you've learned that every day is bound to be a new adventure, whether you like it or not. Life with the Corps isn't all training and fighting for your life, though - it's also full of fun, friendships, and hope. A certain Captain of yours doesn't seem to quite understand that, and through a series of unfortunately fortunate events, you might just convince him otherwise. All's well that ends well. /// COMPLETE. Levi/Reader. This is a VERY VERY VERY old fic, so please excuse the grammar, inconsistencies, and cringe!
