In the city of Telo, Lamberto de Laurentiis has the maddening desire to find and carry out his vengeance upon Duke Ambrosi for his hand in his sister's murder. One day everything changes when the Duke's daughter arrives in the city of Telo and is hired by his father to join their mercenary guild.

Her father had meticulously crafted Renata Ambrosi's entire life. By day, she is the perfect daughter of the Grand Duke, but by night she is his personal assassin, known as The Shade of Leviticus. To her father, she is simply a key pawn to win his war. One day, while on a mission, Renata is given an offer by her father's greatest enemy, Davide de Laurentiis, to join his Mercenary Guild and help turn the tides of war in their favor. In return, she would gain her freedom.

Renata and Lamberto's fates clash together, forcing them to set aside old hate and forge new alliances, all to put an end to the Duke's warpath across Velum.
