In Iseniva, the world is divided in two: those who are under the control of the Ymloryian Empire and those who are not.

Although she is not ymloryian by blood, Norina Lerosius was raised as the daughter of an influential senator. However, having no idea where she came from or who her family was, Norina has spent her entire life wondering who she truly is. When her betrothed tries to kill her, she escapes to the kingdom of Asadenys, one of the eastern kingdoms left unconquered by the Empire.

Having failed to keep the forces of Aluria at bay, Kieran has lost in front of the supporters of the Ninth, the corrupted god who seeks to destroy everything in his path. Barely escaping with his life, Kieran loses his position as commander of the army and is forced to swear an oath of loyalty to the heir of the throne, something that forbids him from fighting on a battleground again.

The kingdom of Asadenys has always stood tall against its enemies, but now, the threat comes from different sides. If Asadenys falls, then so will the rest of the world, either to the Ymloryian Empire or to the god of darkness.
