It's the year 1928, in Colorado Springs, and Johnny Odd Job, a mercenary, bounty hunter, private detective, and corporate spy (among other professions) has just been hired to deliver a mysterious package to a billionaire in Billings, Montana. However, something seems off about this job, and though Johnny may be a man of few morals, this job may very well violate one of the few morals he has.

The Forgotten Trails

FATE BEYOND THE NIGHTMARES
Kelvin was hunted by scary nightmares throughout his whole life but what could be scarier than to discover that the nightmares are actually his reality, not just that but he also has a destiny to fulfill. ******************************************** EXCERPT His mind was awoke but not his body, it looked like he was having sleep paralysis but deep inside he was struggling for his life. The same frequent nightmare. He was back in the familiar forest, all the settings were same but today was different. Kelvin was on his heels while the beast after him. He had seen the beast set a local hut that obviously had people inside it on fire, the agonizing cries filled the forest hunting his sanity and before long blood started oozing out of the hut. Kelvin was so frightened that he couldn't help a scream escaping his mouth and that's how the beast noticed him. The run was long and torturous for Kelvin, for reasons he can't tell his body was heavy and difficult to move and the creature was getting closer with each passing seconds. They continued racing racing until Kelvin lost it, he halted to catch his breath but then he saw the same creature in his front with an evil smirk on its face showing his big fangs, his elongated nails were dripping with blood. " No matter how long you run, you can't run away from me. It's your destiny that I shall destroy you and then there will be no more prophecy! The beast continued with a smirk as he comes closer bit by bit. The moment Kelvin tried to run again it stretched his hand and grabbed his shoulder pinching him with the sharp nails... '"I cannot feel this way. You clearly don't feel-" "I do though." He interrupts me. I finally look up to meet his eyes. It holds so much sadness. "Believe it or not but it hurts me every time I see tears in your eyes." His hands reach for my face, one more time and gently wipes the tears off my face. No matter what, the tears keep flowing down. "Please don't cry." He whispers. "You have someone out there just for you. Waiting for you." I whisper softly. A sad smile forms on my face that is now saltier than the ocean bed itself. I try to tug his hand off my face, but his hold is firm. He leans his head down and places it against mine. "I know." His whisper equally soft. "You need to let go. Just as I am." I close my eyes and take in the breeze of ocean that surrounds him and now me. There is an old and traditional shop that has been closed for decades in the small Town of Nowhere, right at the end of the obscure Dream Avenue. There were all kinds of made-up stories about this shop, tales about the mysterious business owner's magical methods. Thomas, a local officer with the town's police department, is a pragmatic man who has always mocked those who believed in such ridiculous rumors.
