Southern Italy, summer of 1985 - two years after the Oliver incident...
Summer never thought her life would change as much as it did when she stepped foot into Italy - or Italia, as she calls it now. Being in the most beautiful place she has even seen for a few months is bound to flip one's world upside down. The town of Crema holds the power of lifechanging moments. A power that hit Summer as hard as it could. This summer changed her completely and utterly and for many reasons. The most important ones being: a boy named after the sun, a guitar she got as a gift before travelling to Italia, and a balcony.
Who would have thought sitting outside during the night to strum the chords to the only song she can play in that guitar would shift her life so drastically? She clearly didn't.
