After a day of waiting, Nezariah's computer pings, and she rushes over to look at it.
"What is it Nez?" Flaine asks, concerned. Nezariah mumbles to herself, typing furiously.
"Holy sh-"
"NEZ!" Sesil shouts, reprimanding Nezariah.
"Sorry, not sorry Sesil, but I think I found it."
"Found what?" Dentin asks.
"I think I found where all of this started"
"Wait, are you serious?"
"Yes, it's gonna be a bit of a walk to get there, but I found a branch that goes back to a single point. I just have to get a signal to track it."
"How long will it take?" Ezra asks, finally interested in the conversation.
"I'm not one hundred percent sure, but I already have a lead so it shouldn't take more than a day."
"Alright, then let's get our gear and make a game plan," Flaine says. They all leave the room to collect their gear, all of them finally hopeful they'll be able to find a way to stop this apocalypse.
Hey y'all, this is my first story and it's gonna be a dystopian apocalyptic sort of thing. There will be a couple of romantic scenes, definitely some fluff, maybe some smut but only if it's requested. Don't be afraid to give suggestions either! If you don't like it though, please find something you'll actually like reading. I hope you enjoy :)

In a post-apocalyptic era where the world had been destroyed nearly a thousand years ago to nuclear war, Kingdoms were created in the land of As-Sau'diyyah. Beyond that was the Radiation Zone that killed any living thing to come near. Zahir Mohammad-- A dashing young thief from the slums and quite poor. Along with his younger adopted brother, both try to survive the harsh reality of poverty. Lailah Abdullahi-- The gorgeous Princess living in the Palace, trying to overcome and battle her depression since her mother's suicide. After getting kidnapped and forced to retrieve the Lost Treasure, the Lamp of the Genie, Zahir comes across Lailah and tries to develop a relationship with her. It was all not too easy as evil began to lurk within the Palace walls. They embark on a dangerous quest along the dusty dunes to the Waste Lands, hoping to find the answer there. ~ • ❝ My rules are simple," the genie blew a puff of black smoke before dropping his cigarette. It has been 40-some years since Captain Nick Reyes and his crew attacked Mars in an attempt to destroy Salen Kotch's reign with the SDF. Now, a new threat of SDF forces has risen, and although Earth has been restored since the attacks, the planet is still in grave danger. A young woman by the name of Terra Sloane escapes Earth after the SDF's deadly attack, heading to Mars. There, the supposed Captain Reyes is still alive, through which a secret no one knows. Though he is supposed to be in a coma-like state, Terra runs into him in the wastelands of Mars after crash-landing. Convincing him to return with her, Terra begins a journey to defeat the high power of the SDF: Colis. His plans to destroy the solar system with the new SDF are more powerful than ever before and it won't be long before the entire solar system is obliterated. With this unexpected journey Terra begins, she learns the truth to more secrets than she thinks possible. With those come betrayal, loss and even a bit of unintentional love. ~~~ This is a work of FAN-fiction, therefore I don't own everything in this story. As she scanned the empty area, her eyes caught a figure-a man standing far away, motionless. Something about the way he stood unsettled her. Then, out of nowhere, a group of people rushed toward him. Startled, Han took out her phone, recording the scene from a distance. "What's going on?" she wondered. Planning to at least send the video to the police. "I shouldn't get involved in a street fight when I just landed here, right? ..." "Ugh ... I don't Know ..." She stepped closer, but what she saw next made her freeze in fear. The world ended long ago, riddled with plague and zombies and destruction. But humanity survived, and humanity evolved. The Infection that helped bring the world to its knees also changed humans in ways to help them keep living in this now broken world ready to be rebuilt. Seven lineages with three strains each, and each have their own unique set of traits that help us survive. But that's not what this story is about-at least, not really. This story isn't about how a hero will rise and bring the world back to what it was Pre-Fall. This story is about me, an ordinary Remanat living life through the world day to day as a mercenary. A beginner mercenary as everyone likes to remind me. The others in my group have been calling me 'Rookie' since I joined them three months ago. I'm beginning to wonder if they actually know my name. We have been hired to help the New Reach Caravan travel across the wastelands to Philly Del Phia, and this is the perfect opportunity to show them that I'm not just a dumb Rookie. I'm actually quite good at my job. I just happen to get distracted by one certain Eight-Ball, but it's not my fault he's good-looking, and charming, and funny...
