Hi, i am starting to write my own story and i wanted to post here a bit of it to get some feedback, it's just a fragment as i have not finished it, i am completely new to writing and English isn't my main language, so any feedback is usefull, even grammar corrections
For context, the story is about a group of friends that get lost while hiking in a glacier (yes you can hike in a glaciar, i've done it, it's great) and this particular segment is when one of the group falls in to a crack, breaking his leg and getting trapped there

This is a novella I had to write for school and I would like some feed back. EXCERPT Pain is something I've become very accustomed to. Whether I like it or not. It sounds mental though, I know. My biggest fear is being alone, even though I already am. As I walk into the school I see them, my 'friends'. They're sitting in the quad all chatting to one another.
