#1 in MeandYou (June 14, 2025) #5 in QuietBoy (July 9, 2025) Before I can help it, I grin ear to ear, and his softened gaze starts to fade. His eyes narrow into slits, "Don't you dare-" "What do you call a fish wearing a bowtie?" Instantly, Sawyer frowns, an unimpressed expression on his face. I smile, grabbing his cheeks and squishing them, "Don't make that face!!! C'mon, you gotta ask!! What do you call a fish wearing a bowtie?" He glares at me, "We're not doing this shit, Mari-" "Yes, we are!!" I let go of his face, "You ready?!!" "No." "I'm gonna say it." "You better not-" "SoFISHticated." "You're a dumbass." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ *Slow Burn, Lengthy Chapters, Long Story* This Story Takes Place in 2023-2024 Marianne Parker and Sawyer Cortez are complete opposites of each other. Marianne is a dad joke loving, talented musician who believes in finding the good in everything around her. Always smiling, laughing, kind to everyone, and an optimist. With a bubbly attitude and an outgoing personality, she's always looking to make a new friend. An all-around ray of sunshine. Sawyer, on the other hand, is a sarcastic, blunt, rude, and pessimistic bookworm. He doesn't believe there could be good in everything. He doesn't smile, doesn't laugh, and isn't interested in making new friends. Let alone, socializing. Hell, he BARELY tolerates his own friends. The total definition of a raincloud. Marianne's looking for a fresh start, and Sawyer wants a normal year of high school. When he meets Marianne, it becomes all too clear that there's something about her he can't ignore. From the way she walks, talks, laughs, and smiles, it's all distracting and unfamiliar to him. And, of course, he doesn't like that. In his efforts, he tries to ignore the feelings and avoid HER at all costs. But, that can be hard when the girl in question is EQUALLY interested in him too. Started August 2023 - ????

They say opposites attract. Ya, well, that must be the reason why Blair Lively and Blaine Lachely can never seem to get along. Meet Blaire: She's smart, popular, competitive, sarcastic, and the captain of her school's cheerleading squad. Meet Blaine: He's smart, popular, competitive, sarcastic, and the captain of his school's football team. They're basically each other's counterpart. They both share a love for almost the exact same things. They both live with just one parent and have one younger sibling each. They even have similar height, hair, and eye colors for heaven's sake! The fact that they're next door neighbors doesn't help them get along either. Wouldn't it be cool to have someone so much like you? You should easily get along with a person that shares so many things in common with you, right? Not in this case. So what happens when they are forced to look after a fake child and spend more time than usual together? Will their views of each other change? Will they realize that they're not so similar after all, or that maybe not just opposites attract?
