Flora was found at her parent's doorstep just a few days before Christmas, in a cold December night when she was just seven months of age. Put there probably with the intention to freeze to death if not found when she had been, Flora was raised in a house with much love but with many monetary issues, one of them being the house itself. Being one of seven mouths to feed her parents were always having to make their best so none of their children went hungry by the end of month.

But when her younger sister, Carol, at the tender age of nine, signs her up for the lottery to have a chance to study at the prestigious Queen Louise's Royal Preparatory School at the capital of Iphiria, Flora can't believe she is actually selected. In just a few days she leaves her family, friends and the house she had grown up in behind for the splendour of the capital of Iphiria. If Flora did everything right she would have the chance to be a lady in waiting to a Princess or even a position at the government of Iphiria, which would help her family to no end.

And that is her mentality for the following years she's at the school. She's one of the best students of her year, with a record that could set her forth to become valedictorian when the time came, and have any position she wanted upon their Coronation when they reached the age of eighteen. Flora just didn't expect that an old rumour, an old story, a telltale from when she was a little girl would come back to haunt her; the lost princess of Iphiria, lost in the car crash that killed the King and Queen, and most likely the Crown Prince as well.

As Flora approaches her Coronation and graduation she just wants everything to be over, but it seems that the rumour keeps following her down the hollowed halls of the old Preparatory School that was once the Winter Castle of the Royal Family of Iphiria.

The Lost Life of Laraine by BearGoRawr
53 parts Ongoing
She lead a rather tragic life. The black sheep of her family due to her lack of affinity for fire. Her affinity was quite the opposite. Water in fact. Already in a time when women did not really have much political power or rights, she was outcasted by her family despite being of nobility. Still allowed to live in the distant west wing of the massive Grand Duke's manor, she has never eaten a single meal with her family nor extended family, and has spent her loneliness in her books and sword lessons. Although only taught by the head butler and one of the low ranked knights of the family, she was quite bright and if her family would have given her a chance she would have done great things. If only she didn't die at such a young age. Married off to some "hero" of sort that had slayed the Dragon of the North who was terrorizing the land and threatened the kingdom, this hero also had an affinity for fire and held her in disdain like the rest of her family. Suddenly a girl of another world was transported to their world, picked up by this hero and put into his secure care. The pair soon fell for each other despite the hero's marriage, and many believed Laraine got jealous of this girl of mystery, and tried to kill her. This was definitely not true. But because the girl was favored by the temple and kingdom Laraine was quickly arrested and put on trial. You can probably tell what happened to Laraine. But something strange happened the day of her execution. As soon as her decapitated head hit the ground the sky turned blood red and it began to rain fire. No one survived that day. But for some reason time went back, and Laraine was back to being a child, but with no memory of her future. There were select few in her life, however, that remembered her tragedy and now perhaps will take action to prevent it. NOTE: I'M AWARE THERE ARE A LOT OF INCONSISTENCIES. IT WILL BE EDITED SOME DAY BUT RIGHT NOW I'M JUST TRYING TO FINISH IT.

They're surprised to see that she can hold normal conversations with people and is up to date with everything she needs to know to go to school. The only downside is her lack of magic, and instinctual impulses. Her abilities and smarts land her in an unknown school; Fairy Tail High School for the Highly Advanced, or FTHS, where she is met with the true colors of her new society. Discrimination, social status, and just simple, high school anxiety. Not only that, but she has mysterious dreams, with herself as the main character. Will she make it through the school year? Natsu is just an ordinary kid; he's not famous, and definitely isn't from some conglomerate family. To make up for that, he's kind, smart, and has a sense of humor. He finds the smallest of things interesting. Which, of course, leads him straight to Lucy, the social outcast. One thing leads to another, and soon, Natsu is teaching this strange girl the world of magic. They become friends rather quickly, and her unexpected actions never ceases to calm his storm of a day. Natsu realizes his feelings for her, but isn't sure how to convey them. Will he manage to get through her thick-headed personality, or will he be forever considered "just a friend"? As the characters go through their own social problems, other problems start to arise. Magic manipulation, and an old alumni threaten them as Lucy attempts to recover from her past. Will they make it out alive, or will the world end, with the villain as the victor? All characters and cover photo don't belong to me! Thanks for clicking on the story :)

"There's a saying my people use in times like this" "Like this?... how often do you people get tied up to trees in the forest at midnight?!" I snapped "Do you wanna hear the saying or not?" I sigh "Fine...what is the stupid saying, oh I mean the wise proverb you galshitters use" I roll my eyes I hear him chuckle softly at the other side of the tree "It goes... when you lock your heart, the walls you build become your own prison" I take a deep breath before speaking "HOW THE HELL DOES THAT APPLY HERE?!!?!!" Princess Isadora is the third daughter of the six royal siblings of Aldoria. Her Father the king is growing ill and soon has to step down so her oldest brother, Elias, can take to the throne. With threats of war against neighboring kingdoms, Isadora has been chosen, more like forced to marry Prince Lysander of Galdora, in order for their kingdoms to find peace with each other. Isadora is not your typical kind, caring Snow White of a princess, she's harsh, mean and even cruel. She might look nice but her heart is allergic to love and affection, the very thought of being in love with someone and being a wife to a man is repulsive to her. Lysander on the other hand, has a cold and stoic persona, or so people think. He's actually a very kindhearted person who can't bear the sight of others suffering. But that doesn't mean he's weak, he can be very hotheaded and strict if it comes down to it. Maybe he's too confident, flirty and cocky, but he's still a good person. Sometimes. Both are very stubborn and don't take no for an answer. But now that they don't have a choice but to be wedded for the benefit of their kingdoms, will they be able to open their hearts and give in to their growing attraction for one another, or will the pressures of war get to them first?

Sweet Dreams: A Modern Fairytale

3 parts Complete

This is inspired by a writing project I supervised when I worked with an elementary student. This writing project was a group project to make their own spin on a fairy tale assigned to the group. It had to have all the main points of their fairy tale, start and and with the common phrases of a fairy tale, and it had to have their own creative spin. My student did Cinderella, and it was so fun to work with him and his group, I wanted to make my own. Our dear Cinderella loves to bake, but she's not exactly looking for love when an opportunity to make a name for herself comes up. As for Prince Charming, he is looking for love, just not in the usual fairy tale fashion. And as usual, there's some extra mischief from the step family, royal family, and fairy godmother. Heaven only knows what's going to happen, right?
