I am responsible of getting Rick shot and Shane won't trust me, but Rick forgives me. Xavier's girlfriend, Yazmin got bit, and turned. He shot her and wanted to end his life. My first group met the current group. Dead end at the CDC.

I ran as fast as my feet would carry me. My lungs gasped for oxygen. I knew I had to stop, but he could still be following me. I pushed myself harder. I needed to get away, far away. From him. From this. I remember I just woke up one day, and went to work as usual. I drove my squad car around town on patrol, but I saw bodies. Bodies everywhere. They were dead bodies, but they weren't still on the ground. They were walking around. As if they had re-animated. I shook away the memories from the day it started all those weeks ago and focused on my running. It was almost sunrise and I figured I could stop soon. As soon as I knew I was safe.
