Maybe Gotham was a bad place for that, but Gotham had its perk. Surrounding the city, a Screen of mist, filth and the deep sent of stink made Gotham nearly monster proof.
A win for a powerful demigoddess who just wanted a break.
Now she's just gotta survive in a city that's criminals rival the dangers of mythical monsters.

She's a lot more cautious and less sassy, insecure about herself and her powers, and yes, for the sake of plot, she lets a lot of things slide than she normally would.
It's been a hot minute since I read the series so I forgot how strong Percy's personality is lol
