Now 20 and 18, Fox and Sparrow navigate their way through one last summer of freedom until they must part forever.
But all too soon that summer is cut to a sudden stop when Fox is summoned away. Sparrow returns to her life as a maid under her stepmother's hand while hoping and wishing she might see her best friend again.
