It's 1917 in the tiny town of Cobbingham, England.
Rowena Griffinson turns 18 tonight. And all 17 years of her disappointing life have been spent in the Griffinson Manor, up until now.
No friends.
No outside.
No love.
At least not from her father, Mr. Merle Griffinson, current owner of the manor, and not to mention emotionless and distant. Rowena and Mr. Griffinson rarely speak, until a fight on the night of her 18th birthday where things take a turn for the worse.
After their big blowout, Rowena runs into (literally) a boy her age who also seems to be in trouble...
Each with their own issues, they decide to team up. But Rowena has another problem not even she is aware of. As each night creeps closer, so does her worst nightmare.
