Annalise seemed to have the perfect life: the ideal daughter, a popular boyfriend, a close-knit group of friends who shared her passions, and the opportunity to study her dream career. But everything begins to change when she meets Leigh, the iconic captain of the university's volleyball team, with whom she clashes from the very start.

A party, a beach tournament, a chance meeting at a bar, and countless other encounters test their patience. As they get to know each other, they realize that their lives aren't as perfect as they seem. They find they have more in common than they ever imagined, and as they both grapple with their inner demons, Annalise tries to figure out if what she feels is friendship... or something more.
