Minato neglected Naruto after Kushina died from childbirth which swept her away and put a lot of pressure on him. While growing up, Naruto continued to do his best to get A + in all school-related activities, learning to play different types of instruments, learning to dance different types of dances, mainly ballroom and ballroom dances, correct etiquette and other things. He did all of this just to please his dad and get his attention, but he started quitting because his little brother started taking straight A's too and just like before Naruto was blown away again.
