Adam, his husband and their kids has returned back Mystic Falls to start a new life there. He haven't been there since 1864. Adam is reunited with his brothers. His younger sister Vanessa is still missing.

He and his family are vampires and they have managed to keep it a secret for centuries. But everything changes when his younger brother Stefan falls in love with the human girl Elena Gilbert. Suddenly their whole life is at stake.
