A young girl at the age of fourteen is taken to a mental asylum after her parents are killed in a car accident.
Once there, she quickly adopts the name "Whisper" after her uncontrollable habit.
She meets the mysterious Dannie, who helps to unravel the secrets behind their little town and even discover some new ones.
It's a race against time to find their way out before they are devoured by the insanity that lurks the halls of the asylum. They must find the answers to the mysterious death of Whisper's parents.
Or will they drown in a world of the unimaginable hell?
