At the start of his college journey, Sunder Mendez aspires to become a student journalist at The Blaze - the official student publication of Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology. Despite hiding into a facade of deceit, Sunder pursues to be a student journalist. Being a freshman at the main campus in Brgy. Sumacab Este, Cabanatuan City, he is determined to make a change into on his life after moving to the city from a smaller town.
Initially, Sunder was declined to be a part of the pub but among who are those that gave up, he remained determined and requested for an internship from the Editor-in-chief itself. Because of his dedication, he was granted to be an intern for a specific job; to be a photojournalist and a sports writer.
Sunder encounters Herald Hiro Lacandoza, a classmate who holds a shroud of hidden mysteries in Sunder's point of view. Being a college freshman at twenty-one-year-old, is well-connected within the department, and he serves as the team captain of NEUST Phoenix Speak Takraw team. Despite Herald's enigmatic nature and his ability to outshine Sunder academically, Sunder finds himself attracted to him.
His feelings for Herald deepen when he is assigned by the Editorial Board of The Blaze to create a sports documentary about Herald's life for a competition. This opportunity allows Sunder to delve deeper into Herald's persona and understand the man he admires. It becomes an opportunity for Sunder to explore the complexities of love, acceptance, commitment, and give light to his own experiences and hidden problems shunned into a monochrome.
