Elisabetta Olivieri had a good life. She was smart, happy, and had an amazing father and caring friends. She decides to visit her half-sister, Bella, and her father, Charlie, in Forks, Washington a couple of months after Bella moves there, just to check in and spend some time with them. Going to Forks at that time proved to be a big mistake, because she gets kidnapped by a vampire named James and eventually, gets turned.
    
    Losing her humanity was a hard thing for Elsa to come to terms with. She'd known about the vampire world for less than a week, with no actual knowledge of it, and then suddenly she was one. She was lucky her sister was dating a vampire who was a member of a good family. They took her in and helped her with her new life.
    
    But even that didn't last very long... Elisabetta and Bella eventually lost the Cullens, too, left in Forks to fend for themselves.
