Ley is starting twelfth grade today, and she hasn't had anything interesting happen yet, this year was supposed to different, special, it was her last year, after all. But then she gets to sixth hour, the last class, and meets Ms. Teel, and English has never been more interesting They already have an assignment on the first day, something the teacher says they'll be working the entire year on. Pick a topic about something that defines people, and study it. They're to write their notes in a composition journal, with diary-like entries and at the end of the year, look back at their year and read the entries, then write an essay. Ley has trouble thinking of something, but eventually she comes but with the perfect thing: Lies.

Meet Julie McLane and James Leon. They are two completely different 6th graders in two completely different groups. They live normal lives, with semi-normal friends, in a normal school. They don't know it yet, but pretty soon, their entire worlds are going to be turned upside down. (I don't know why it's rated PG13 but it won't let me change it so) (And also this is like the first thing I wrote on here so it's a bit juvenile and stuff which means dOn'T jUdGe Me YoU dOn'T kNoW mE)
