And the sky blinked back.

Jasper Redstone is a mystery-hunting teenager in the sleepy, two-stoplight town of Axis, Ontario. Almost every moment not spent doing mindless homework is spent in complete boredom, as sleepy towns tend to be, well, quite boring in his opinion.
So when Aspen and his two best friends, Penny and Kane, FINALLY get jobs at local stores, the three couldn't be happier, even if the manner in which the jobs opened up was... strange.

As strange books start appearing, animals and townsfolk start disappearing, and rune circles pop up in every field from here to Saskatchewan, they must put the pieces together under the natural ticking clock of a wildfire approaching Axis, counting down every second as smoke fills the air.

SELF PUBLISHED. BUY NOW ON AMAZON https://a.co/d/hPXh35A What if you could read tomorrow's events today? When Ethan Carter, a skeptical freelance journalist, stumbles upon an old, leather-bound diary hidden in his attic, he thinks it's nothing more than an heirloom from his late grandmother. But when the pages start filling themselves with entries-describing his future in unsettling detail-Ethan's world tilts into nightmare territory. At first, the diary seems harmless, even helpful. It predicts small events: a spilled coffee, a forgotten phone call. But as Ethan follows its entries, the predictions grow darker... and deadlier. Each page drags him deeper into a chilling reality where time bends, shadows move when they shouldn't, and a sinister entity watches from the corners of his vision. When a cryptic stranger warns him to burn the book before it's too late, Ethan hesitates. The more he reads, the harder it is to stop. His best friend Harper tries to pull him back, but when the diary predicts her death, she begins to fear him as much as the book itself. Now, Ethan is trapped in a horrifying paradox-does he obey the diary and risk becoming its pawn, or defy it and face the unknown consequences? As the final entry begins to write itself, one truth becomes clear: The story was never his to tell. He was always part of it. Fans of The Silent Patient and The House of Leaves will be riveted by this psychological thriller infused with supernatural horror. Can you trust your own fate when it's already written?

"Three weeks. That's how long I got to have drama-free. I'm not sure what is happening to me or to Oakwood. Nothing's the same since I rolled into town and it just keeps getting weirder. Suspicious agents in suits roam the streets without an explanation. They're staring straight at me. The new Chemistry teacher is NOT who he says he is. I'm doing things I never thought I could. Like, mutant-level things... Lauren, Luc's dead twin sister, hid something from everyone. Something important that may have lead to her demise and that could lead to ours. Hunters are in town. I never knew four words could contain so much dread and terror. I'd rather deal with the Wanderers. I'm on the brink of a breakdown. I need help..." BOOK #2 IN THE SERIES! Ignorance is not bliss... In the wake of ridding Oakwood of Wanderers, other dangers come creeping in and they're somehow linked to Luc's absent twin. The past returns to haunt the mutants in inconspicuous ways. Riley's life is yet again in jeopardy, but this time she's not alone. Luc and his family are all thrown into the teetering balance. More secrets are uncovered. A trap dawns on them all. Invisible threats start crawling from all directions. Who is the real enemy? TW : behaviours of depression and PTSD are displayed. I don't name them, but one of the character will be struggling a lot. It may not be suitable for everybody. Other adult matters are briefly included, but nothing explicit or intense. Rewriting specifications : the main points of the story and end of the book will remain the same, am just going to change a few ways of getting there and adding some extra spice. Feel free to pause the read until the REWRITING sign disappears.

Camilla Andilet thought her biggest worries were exams, third-wheeling her best friends, and keeping warm in the never-ending winter. But when she stumbles upon a strange pendant, a forbidden book, and a cryptic warning from someone who shouldn't even be missing, her world begins to unravel. Avery High has always been prestigious-exclusive-but beneath its grand halls and ancient libraries, something older lurks. Something watching. Louis Everdale, cold, unreadable, and maddeningly secretive, keeps dragging her deeper into the mystery. First, he tells her to stay out of it. Then, he tells her he needs her. And now? Now, he's handing her a key to a hidden world-one that is far more dangerous, divine, and personal than she ever expected. With cryptic letters from a missing girl, a rival who knows far too much, and an underground society that seems obsessed with the trident symbol, Camilla is forced to ask herself- Is she solving the mystery? Or was she always meant to be part of it? Because one thing is clear: someone wants her to stop looking. And they'll do anything to make sure she does.
