Passive Q-switch Crystals
The passive Q-switch functions as a saturable absorber. When it is excited by laser light, it accumulates energy and reaches a state of saturation, causing its transmission to increase rapidly and reducing the resonator loss, ultimately leading to the generation of laser pulses.
