Nightmare, who has been dead for the last century, stumbles across a dying Sans in a destroyed au and takes him under his wing. Er, tentacles. From there, they start a band of rejects to get revenge on his brother. Sadly, said brother has other plans for them. That wont stop the shakily made team from bonding and having fun though! The Bad Sanses win, and take over the multiverse, one au at a time. Dream and Blue start a rebellion, but their friend, Ink, had been kidnapped by the gang when they lost to them. Now the rebellions goal was to save the artist and defeat the tyrants known as the Bad Sanses. But on the other hand, Ink's goal was just to... hold out long enough to still be him when-or even if-he's saved. He was determined to not be broken by the people he's called enemies for so long, his captors.

The both of them create a close bond, and Nightmare explains how the villagers mistreats him and how they treasure Dream. Ink knew Dream for awhile, but Dream never mentions Nightmare. One day Nightmare had enough of the villagers and ate the apple of negativity and leaves Dreamtale empty.
