Monteluz and the Answered Prayer is a story about discovering that faith is much bigger than the places where people practice it.
Ketanya enters Monteluz Academy believing that a Christian school will naturally be filled with kindness, honesty, friendship, and people who genuinely love God. Instead, she finds herself surrounded by the realities that exist in any imperfect community-bullying, hypocrisy, loneliness, pressure, grief, misinformation, social division, environmental carelessness, and people struggling to live out what they believe.
As Ketanya tries to understand the people and world around her, she begins to question what faith really means when the people who claim to follow it sometimes fail to live by it.
The story explores friendship, forgiveness, truth, responsibility, leadership, grief, empathy, service, environmental care, and the challenges of living faithfully in a complicated world.
At its heart, Monteluz and the Answered Prayer asks a simple but difficult question:
What happens when you ask God for a perfect place, but instead He gives you a place where you can learn what faith truly means?
Because a place can carry God's name and still forget God's heart.
And sometimes, the answer to a prayer is not the place we hoped for, but the person we become while learning to trust God within it.
