Tyler Jensen didn't expect his life to take a 180 degree turn all of the sudden. From a normal life as a husband and as a worker of the state, a soldier in the armed forces, life seemed to go on with its peaceful pace.
It doesn't take long for that way of life to crumble after a failed mission takes his life and leaves him disoriented in the limbo accompanied with a never seen, strange being with an offer to give.
"You'll be reborn under my conditions and leave your humanity behind, or, you die and go on to your next life..." The second option seemed ideal for him, there was nothing that could make him strike a deal with.. whatever that was. ".. but your wife dies by those individuals."
The universe and laws of life are still difficult to understand, but there's no time to waste when everything he has ever known is about to collapse right in front of him.

It's a sweet and deep romance about two characters negotiating their feelings for each other while life is doing everything to tear them apart. The characters have such mature conversations and, there's no reliance on the miscommunication trope at all. I'm *obsessed.* If you enjoy intriguing fantasy novels with deep and thoughtful themes, check out 'The Gifts of Mortality' by @eleanorkennedy14 . It explores the concept of mortality and how it gives life meaning through the eyes of both gods and humans. The story follows Samil, the god of the Festivals and the Arts, who is shocked by the apathy of his fellow gods when a human terrorist group gains control over the Goddess of Death. Despite finding no support among his kind, he's determined to help the humans, which sets him down an interesting course. There are lots of great twists in this novel, and I also loved seeing how queerness was worked in throughout both the immortal and mortal realms. Samil is a sweet and refreshing character to root for who is determined to see the good in the world.Concluida

It was just a random thing that came up in the writing process and i went with it! *The version that I put here-and divided up into chapters is updated and i added things in to make it make a little more sense. I'm attaching the original in the last part-just in case you want a quicker read-though keep in mind it may not have the level of quality as the one i've divided into chapters.
